Third time lucky? I have lost my first two posts today....
Here is the selection that I kept after making a book, then cutting it out and gluing it in a sketchbook so I wouldn't lose it...
I have tried my best to do the exercise : "Exploring drawing and painting"
Have I learnt anything new? I don't think so, except for my collage effort. To do this, I followed a technique I put together for teaching primary school children how to do a quilt: I did my design, used transparent paper and traced each part which was then cut and pinned on paper (I chose paper that looked like fabric since I had no fabric). The apple was then put together like a puzzle, and I added 'stitches' drawn over the top.
I tried bleach and it didn't work at all on the paper I had.
Perhaps I could be more adventurous, but I have lost some enthusiasm. It was a bit of a surprise as in general I am the first one to mix different media. I made a collage with flour as well as paper about 30 years ago, and it has survived very well with just a clip frame protecting it!
Perhaps I'm more conservative that I thought I was?
